Our Story
Ghost Tree Brewing was born from friendship, neighborhood roots, and a shared love of great beer. What started in 2011 as weekend homebrewing sessions between Dan Blatt and John Rush, introduced by Dan’s brother-in-law Brian Mastellone, soon grew into a true passion for creating something special together.
In 2019, the trio found the perfect spot in their hometown of Amherst, Ohio, and by October 2020, Ghost Tree Brewing opened its doors. Through the challenges of the pandemic, the focus never wavered: brew exceptional beer, serve delicious food, and make everyone who walks in feel like part of the family.
Today, as a proud veteran owned brewery, the team continues to pour their hearts into every pint. John, Brian, and Dan invite you to join them at their new location to raise a glass and celebrate community, craft, and culture, the spirit behind every beer they make.

SUPPORTING LOCAL FARMERS

LOCAL FLAVOR IS BAKED IN
We are committed to sustainability and supporting local farmers by using sustainably farmed and locally sourced ingredients in our beers and dishes, while our spent grain goes back into the community to nourish livestock.

SUPPORTING LOCAL ARTISTS

WHERE CREATIVITY IS BREWING
We take pride in showcasing the talents of local artists, transforming our brewpub into a dynamic art gallery where two new artists are featured each month. Their work not only beautifies our space but also connects us to the vibrant cultural pulse of the area.
